HM-11 is a Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) module based on the CC2541 chip. It can operate with a supply voltage from 3.3V to 6V. Communication is handled via a UART serial interface using AT commands supported by the CC2541. This makes the module ideal for use with Arduino, ESP8266/ESP32, and even Raspberry Pi (if you happen to need a second BLE module).
These are modules sourced directly from Huamao Tech. The HM-11S supports Bluetooth 4.0 (BLE). In addition to serial communication, it also allows remote reading of analog values from the module’s GPIO pins.
HM-11 is the “little brother” of the HM-10S-A module available in our offer. Smaller dimensions, the same firmware, and nearly identical capabilities. Due to its reduced size (and fewer available IO pins), it naturally exposes fewer GPIOs. However, the key features remain the same, including DS18B20 and DHT sensor support.
The set includes not only the HM-11 module itself but also an adapter board. The adapter has pre-tinned pads required for operation (the remaining markings on the silkscreen are only visual and do not represent actual pads). The module can be easily soldered onto the adapter using a standard soldering iron (hot-air is not required). Simply place the module on the adapter and solder one pad with a small amount of solder. If alignment correction is needed, it can be done by reheating that joint. Once you are sure the module is properly positioned, solder the remaining pads.
The included adapter features a built-in voltage regulator. It also provides an additional pair of GND and 3V3 pins that can be used to power sensors or other external devices.
Documentation: Docs, datasheet are common with HM-10
